While I'm on the Topic of Small Things...
This little guy is a pygmy shrew (formerly the smallest mammal on the planet). He has been ousted from that position & replaced by the bumblebee bat. He may not be the smallest anymore, but he sure is the cutest!
Not exactly sure what this one is, but it's little acorn cap is just TOO charming!
I found these adorable little creatures posted separately in back issues of newsletters from one of my favorite sites http://www.paperminis.com/. Unfortunately, the original sites from which they appeared are no longer operational.
Although not as small, definitely as cute...my Chihuahua Gia sporting a fashionable felt coat/Tequila bottle cover

"Little" Love
My love for doll houses & miniatures has broadened to include this little house. I first read this several years ago & just came across it again & wanted to share. Although I don't believe I could reduce MY life to fit in a space quite this small, I do find it charming!
The Smallest House In The World
Jay Shafer is the creator and resident of the smallest house in the world, which he has proudly named Tumbleweed. Jay is an artist and architect, who lives in his home near San Francisco. He sells plans for, and builds, tiny homes in sizes ranging from an extremely small 50 square feet to a practically roomy 500 square feet.Jay has been living in a house smaller than some people’s closets since 1997.
Jay’s decision to inhabit just 96 square feet arose from his concerns he had about the impact a larger house would have on the environment, and because he does not want to maintain a lot of unused or unusable space.

I love discovering new ways to use old products. Check this one out...
Great Alternative Uses for Aspirin
2. Clean Soap Scum: Make a paste with water and apply to tiles. Wipe with a damp sponge.
3. Protect a Garden: Dissolve a tablet in a quart of water; use to treat soil and help plants resist disease.

“Those that say you can't take it with you never saw a car packed for a vacation trip.”
The first part of this year has been happily filled with several mini vacations. February found us in Destin, Florida. Of course this was the ONE week they had a bit of cloudy & chilly weather (but still warmer than Ohio)!
How great is it to sink your feet in the sand knowing that it's freezing back home?!

Next stop on our journey was New Orleans,
just in time for Mardi Gras.

Everybody had costumes
...even the dogs!
The parades were a colorful sight to see &
the overall experience was one we'll never forget.

The month of May brought us back to Florida, this time Palm Coast, for a fabulous family wedding on the beach.

One cannot make a trip to central Florida without taking time out
for the magic of Walt Disney World.
First stop, mini-reunion at the Walt Disney Casting building
Luckily, we arrived in time to enjoy
Epcot's 19th Flower & Garden Festival
